For every £200 in bookings or sales, we will donate one tree to the Just One Tree inititive. For a full weekend photography workshop we will plant approx. 30 trees. For a full week long tour we will plant approx 55 trees, and so on…
Attending photography tours and workshops means our carbon footprint can be higher than normal, especially where overseas flights and travel is involved. Growing trees is scientifically proven to absorb carbon and other polutants from our atmosphere.
JUST ONE Tree is a non-profit initiative removing CO2 from the atmosphere and reversing biodiversity loss through global reforestation. They plant trees in areas severely affected by deforestation to maximise the effect on reducing global warming. In the process they help to provide agricultural education and sustainable incomes to local communities.
But they don’t stop there. JUST ONE Tree concentrates on restoring the entire ecosystem by planting on land and in the oceans, and they also focus on helping to shape the next generation of planet-conscious thinkers by bringing environmental education into the classrooms with their free teaching resources and JUST ONE Tree Day.
The cost of planting these trees is borne from our profit and not added to your workshop costs.
